Garden Maintenance
What is the Garden Maintenance Service?
Where tenants are over 60 years of age or physically disabled, and there is no able bodied person living in the household, Blyth Valley Housing will at the request of the tenant maintain in reasonable order the front garden to the dwelling.
What service will I receive?
We can only provide a limited garden maintenance service. This will mean that any plants or shrubs within the garden boundary will be removed and the area seeded with grass. The grass will be cut on a regular basis over the summer months and any hedges maintained every six months.
How can I obtain this service ?
If you would like us to maintain your front garden and you think you may qualify for this free service please contact our Estates team on 01670 542248.
You will be asked to complete an application form and provide evidence of your age or disability. A medical certificate from a G.P. will be required for all those persons living in the household who are over 14 years of age to confirm they are unable to maintain the garden.
