Seaton Sluice
Seaton Sluice and Old Hartley Residents Association was successfully formed in March 2007, which is now providing that important link between residents and Blyth Valley Housing and Blyth Valley Borough Council as well as other local agencies. By working together they are ensuring that residents have a voice in the community, their views are heard and that residents can make an impact on services that affect their homes and the community.
Meetings are a huge success with a very high attendance, which are also attended by the local and county councillors who provide valued help and support to the group and residents alike.
Mo Gadema, a local resident and Tenant Board Director represents tenants within Blyth Valley and works closely with the group. He is also available and willing to offer his help and support.
The group recently entered the Northumbria in Bloom competition and was awarded a Bronze Medal in the Large Village Category. This was presented at an awards ceremony at Blyth Golf Club on 1st October 2007.
Seaton Sluice and Old Hartley Residents Association are currently looking for new members to join the group and would welcome any residents that may be interested in getting involved.
