Whatever the reasons for your money difficulties, there is support and advice available to you. Blyth Valley Housing's Advice Team and the Citizens Advice Bureau can help you to figure out how you can make the most of your income. They may be able to work out your finances so you can prioritise your rent or mortgage payments. They may also be able to negotiate lower payments or payments by instalments for other debts you may have.

If your arrears are caused by housing benefit problems the Housing Advice Team can liaise with the Housing Benefit Team to process your claim as quickly as possible. They can also speak to your landlord to explain the situation on your behalf.
