Answers / Your Rights
If you feel that you can no longer live with your parents, then you should contact the Housing Advice Officer at the Housing Advice Team. The Housing Advice Officer will help you to negotiate a more reasonable living arrangement with your family. If this proves to be impossible and you feel that the only solution is to find a place of your own, then they will help to negotiate a planned move. Moving out on your own is a big step and there is lot you need to consider. Planning ahead carefully can mean the move is much more likely to succeed.
They can talk through any problems you are having and give you advice or refer you to other agencies, for example, Bliss Mediation.
