NORTHUMBERLAND HOMEFINDER – HAVE YOUR SAY
The way homes are to be let across Northumberland is changing and it’s your chance to have your say on the plans.
Following on from the success of Blyth Valley Homefinder, the new Council for Northumberland, which comes into operation on 1st April 2009, and the six local Councils and other Housing Association partners are working together to implement the Northumberland Homefinder Scheme across the whole of Northumberland.
You won’t see much change in Blyth Valley because many people in Blyth Valley will already be familiar with Blyth Valley Homefinder which has been running successfully since 2005.
A new draft Common Allocation Policy has been produced which tells y ou how empty homes will be let in future.
A Summary of the Policy and important changes will be downloaded here. This tells you how the scheme will work and what it will mean to you.
Your views are very important to us so please take time to read these and spend 10 minutes to complete the feedback form using the link below to tell us what you think. You will have until 30 November 2008 to give us your views.
