About us

Blyth Valley Housing Limited was incorporated as a private limited company on the 15th February 2002.

Blyth Valley Housing Ltd. was set up by Blyth Valley Borough Council to manage the Council's housing. Blyth Valley Borough Council still owns the housing stock within the Borough and the tenants are still tenants of the Council.

A management agreement is in place between the Council and Blyth Valley Housing Ltd, which sets down the functions and the standards of service that are to be provided by the company. The Council, who is also the sole guarantor, owns the Company.

The Management Board

The Company is managed by a Board of 15 Directors which is made up of 7 Councillors, 5 Tenant Representatives and 3 Independent Community Representatives. The Board is responsible for the management of the Company.
